How to find us
Obviously, you can't have as quiet a spot as ours without having to go at least a small distance from the
nearest town, but finding us is still pretty simple....
The easiest thing to do is get yourself to
Carnwath,
Carstairs,
Lanark,
Biggar or on to the
M74, heading for the A70, then follow the instructions below...
|
From Carnwath
On the main road, going down the hill...
- Stay on the main road for about half a mile out of Carnwath, you will pass a road to the right going to Forth, take the next left past this junction. This will take you towards Carstairs.
- After about 1 and a half miles, you come to the next town (Cartsairs Village), turn left at the first junction.
- You are now on a country road which takes you over the River Clyde
- Stay on this road for about 2 miles - until you come to what looks like a T junction with a house straight in front of you and a small village to your left. Turn left and first right (where you will see our sign)
- You are (or should be !) now on a farm road which, if you follow it will take you right to our door - look forward to seeing you !
From Carstairs
Approaching the playpark from the main road in Carstairs..
- If the park is coming up on your right, turn right just before it and drive past with the park now on your left.
If your approaching the park on your left, turn left just before it and left again when you pass it.
- You are now leaving Carstairs, heading for Carstairs Village (which is 1 mile down the road). Drive through the village and take the last junction on your right before leaving.
- You are now on a country road which takes you over the River Clyde
- Stay on this road for about 2 miles - until you come to what looks like a T junction with a house straight in front of you and a small village to your left. Turn left and first right (where you will see our sign)

From Lanark
Driving up the main street, towards the traffic lights...
- Go straight on at the lights and take the next turning on the right
- On the end of the road, at the T junction, turn left. You are now heading for Hyndford Bridge.
- Go over the Hyndford bridge and turn left at the junction.
- About 1 mile along this road, take the left hand turning for Pettinain.
- 1.5 miles down this road, take the right hand turning in to Pettinain
- Keep going for another mile or so and you'll come to what looks like a left hand turning (it's actually a 90o bend). Go straight on here (which is actually a right hand turn !) and you'll see our sign pointing you down a farm road to your right.
- Take this farm road and we're about a mile further down here.
